Eucalyptus trees - Stair systems and Streets

I walk a lot with my young son using the Mill Valley stairs system. Several of the stairways have huge eucalyptus trees with hanging limbs that looks to take a fall during a next storm. One example is the stair system off Ethel Ave going towards what was the old 'Jennie Low' parking lot. Trees have fallen, and just recently a huge branch fell and broke partial of the stairs, and the railing. It had not been more than few hours that we had been there when it happend. It is often very nerve wracking, and I don't feel safe with my son. And this issue is too not limited to just the stair system, the city streets as well have similar issues (example around 446 Molino Ave).

The vision would be for the city to mark dangerous trees and take action prior, such as cutting the limbs. I do understand the task involved, but it would make citizens feel safer, and walk more than driving.
