Drive around Europe and rotaries are everywhere, presumably for a reason. Maybe MV, given some of it's European village yearnings, could do the same. Imagine rotaries at any of: Blithedale and Camino In the centers you could have welcome markers and landscaping as appropriate. Maybe you need traffic lights as well for all-stops to allow pedestrians to go in any direction. W/o solving the Blithedale Narrows over near Whole Foods could be pointless. Plus it's not entirely clear the goal should be making it easier to drive around or enable vehicles -- but maybe it could be PART of a solution. And Americans don't know how to properly use rotaries, but we could learn. Maybe they're not right for these locations but hey I'm sure the comments will bear that out. |
