Remember when your parents dropped you off at the Saturday matinee? Or better yet, when you walked or rode bikes with your friends? Why not a regular winter-time series for Mill Valley children of movies they can attend on their own to re-capture that small-town feeling? At the Sequoia? 142 Throckmorton? When our kids were younger my fellow Mill Valley parents frequently shared the wish that there was someplace that the kids could go on the weekend, particularly when it was raining, that was safe and would allow them some feeling of independence. The conversation always came back to our own memories of those 90 minutes or so when the lights were dimmed and we were transported to some imaginary world, surrounded by our friends and freed, for the moment, of our parents.
