Mill Valley residents could create their own power on their rooftops, unless they have trees shading their homes. Some have done this already. Small point-of-use solar is faster, more democratic, has far less environmental impact than placing large solar plants on fragile desert lands. By joining with others to install rooftop solar in bulk, you can lower costs and protect the environment. Germany is way ahead of us in using effective rooftop solar as a major source of energy.
