Our town's geography lends itself naturally to a repetitive loop Jitney service. Basically a large square, or triangle, Miller to Camino Alto, over to Blithedale, then to Sunnyside and back again. You come within a block of 90% of all businesses, the High School, Middle School, Park School, Community Center, Redwoods, Boyle Park, you get the idea.
Over time it would serve teens not old enough to drive and perhaps seniors who choose not to drive and everyone.It would connect with current bus service to Tam junction and Strawberry. This idea has been around since the beginning of time, at least since the last General Plan update. The naysayers say "How you going to fund it"? I say, if it is
a worthwhile "idea" the funding will come. I have plenty of ideas on how to make it sustainable but too many words for this discussion.
