(1) Amend the first 1989 goal to read:

"To protect and enhance the natural beauty, artistic character, and small town ambiance of Mill Valley."

(2) Add the following to the 1989 list of "important community values":

"Promoting, supporting and celebrating the creative life of the community--arts, culture, entertainment and arts education--and their vital contribution to the city's history, character, economy, and quality of life."
